Payment FAQ's

We pay our writers on a monthly basis. The pay period runs from the first day of the month to the last day of the month.

When do I get paid?

We proceed with the payouts around the 15th of each month for assignments completed during the previous month. For example, if your assignment was approved in July, you would be paid by August 15 or earlier.

There is an overriding $10 payment threshold. A writer must earn a minimum of $10 in a pay period to receive payment. If the minimum of $10 is not earned in a pay period, the unpaid amount is rolled over to the next pay period. When the total payments outstanding exceed $10, payment will be immediately made on the next payment date. We do this to minimize the cost of delivering the service, allowing more money to go to you instead of being spent on administrative costs.

What if I have a question about my payments?

Please use our support form, which is found throughout the website. Be sure to select the correct option from the drop-down menu. Please describe your problem in as much detail as possible. This will help us to quickly resolve your issue.

Why haven’t I received my payment?

There are a few reasons your payment has not been processed:

1. The payout amount is less than $10.

Payouts of under $10 will be accumulated and sent with the next payout when the sum exceeds the threshold.

2. Your payment profile is incomplete.

We can’t proceed with your payments until you complete your payment information.

3. The transfer was returned.

This can happen for various reasons. We will provide additional details in each specific case.

I’m looking at my payment report. Which of my articles are included in the current pay period's payment?

Only assignments that have been successfully completed (approved) will appear in your pay period. Payment is not based on when you submitted the assignment.

You can review the list of assignments included in the payout amount by clicking on the month on the Information > Payment History page:

Afterward, you will be redirected to the list of assignments completed during this payment period.

I want to get paid a higher rate. When do you review accounts for upgrade?

Your pay rate per word can be revised after at least 10 completed assignments with Tempesta Media. We will consider our editors’ and customers’ feedback about your articles, the turnaround time and the average number of revisions.

You can contact Writer Support to apply for a pay rate revision.
